Hi, I'm Deanna...

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) passionate about supporting women in softening self criticism and building a more compassionate, values aligned relationship with themselves. Both my professional training and personal experiences with low self esteem, social anxiety, and perfectionism have shaped the way I approach this work. I've been working as a social worker for over 10 years in various roles including group homes, child welfare, community mental health, and PHP/IOP programs.

My Approach ☕️

My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and DBT, which means we focus on building mindfulness awareness, distress tolerance, and a kinder relationship with yourself. I believe growth happens when we learn to hold our experiences, both internal and external, with compassion while still moving toward what matters most. This growing process often includes often includes learning how to understand and respond effectively to emotions, and reconnect with your values in everyday life.

The Role of Creativity 🎨

Creativity has always been a meaningful part of my own journey, and I’ve found that art is an amazing way of practicing self compassion and mindfulness. Whether through watercolor, painting, or reflective journaling, creative expression offers a softer way to slow down, notice what’s present, and connect with yourself without judgment.

I love weaving creative practices into the spaces I create because they invite curiosity instead of pressure. You don't have to be an artist, you simply have to be willing to try. Creativity is a powerful anchor for mindfulness, helping you return to yourself with more warmth and presence.
